The theme of the conference will be "Reach for the Stars", reflecting
the belief that children with ASD have boundless potential to achieve.
Presentations will cover a range of treatment approaches enabling
families, carers and professionals to become better informed about
how to assist the child with ASD to reach his or her full potential.

Dr Tony Attwood - "Cognitive Behaviour Therapy For
Emotion Management"
When Dr Attwood is not traveling all over the world to present
at seminars and conferences, he runs a diagnostic and treatment
clinic for children and adults with Asperger's Syndrome.

Dr Doreen Granpeesheh - "Recent Advances In The Treatment
Of Children Diagnosed With Autism"
Dr Granpeeheh is the renowned psychologist who founded the Center
for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc (C.A.R.D.) in 1990. CARD
is one of the largest organizations in the world providing treatment
to children with Autism, PDD and Asperger's Syndrome. For more

Donna Williams - "Impulse Control And Anxiety States
In People With Autism Spectrum Conditions"
Like many able people with autism born in the 60's and earlier,
Donna was not diagnosed with autism until adulthood. She is
an author of a number of best sellers on Autism. Donna has traveled
the world to speak at conferences and has worked with people
affected by autism and Asperger's Syndrome. For more information,

Dr Anthony Underwood - "The Biomedical
Treatment Of Autsim"
A well-known biomedical pediatrician who has done a lot of work
to help people with Autism. Dr Underwood operates his medical
practice in Sydney.

Stephen Shore - "Life On And Slightly
To The Right Of The Autism Spectrum"
Diagnosed with "Atypical Development with strong autistic tendencies"
and nonverbal until age four, Stephen Shore was viewed as "too
sick" to be treated on an outpatient basis and recommended for
institutionalization. With much help from his parents, teachers,
and others, Stephen Shore is now completing his doctoral degree
in special education at Boston
University with a focus on helping people on the autism
spectrum develop their capacities to the fullest extent possible.
Stephen is the author of the book "Beyond
the Wall: Personal Experiences with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome".

Amy B. Laurent - "The SCERTS Model"
Amy is a pediatric occupational therapist and collaborator of
the SCERTS Model in United States. The acronym "SCERTS" refers
to Social Communication (SC), Emotional Regulation (ER) and
Transactional Support (TS). These three areas are believed to
be the primary developmental dimensions to be prioritized in
a program designed to support the development of children with
ASD and their families. In the SCERTS model, it is recognized
that the most meaningful childhood learning experiences occur
in everyday activities and should therefore occur with a variety
of partners (e.g., parents, brothers and sisters and other children)
in everyday routines and social situations. For more information,

Tracy Bester - "Signature Campaign - A
Voice for Autism in Australia"
Tracy is the mother to four children, two presenting with Autism
Spectrum Disorder. She is an international Autism consultant,
founder of jesse.ka, and author of the book, "The Learning Curve
